The New Zealand SharePoint event of the year is just around the corner and I wanted to highlight the “A” list speaker line up we have this year!

Tood Bleeker

Todd is the author of numerous SharePoint books and he has been writing about SharePoint since the first version of SharePoint. If you have ever been to one of Todd’s talks on development practices for SharePoint then you definitely don’t want to miss the chance of meeting him and seeing him present! His most famous and widely read books include Developers guide to Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 and the upcoming Developers Guide to SharePoint Foundation 2010.

Spencer Harbar

Spence is one of the few people in the world who passed the  Microsoft Certified SharePoint Master examination the first time it was launched. Since then Spence is also a tutor for subsequent MCM classes held exclusively at the Microsoft Redmond campus.

Spencer is one of 46 people worldwide currently to hold the Microsoft Certified Master for SharePoint 2007 certification, and is a Microsoft Certified Master Instructor for the Enterprise Content Management, Web Content Management, Excel Services and Security elements of the SharePoint MCM. With over sixteen years of commercial experience in the architecture, design, development, deployment and operational service management of Web based applications and hosting platforms, his broad base of fundamental skills routinely enables Europe’s largest organizations to succeed with SharePoint. Daniel McPherson

Dan has been in the SharePoint space from the beginning and I still use his old blog Point 2 Share. Some of my favourite posts on his blog still is “Start with just one Portal” and “URLs Matter”. Lately he’s gone all social but still can hold his beer so I forgive him . He’s a great speaker and you’d see why if you come to his session!

Daniel McPherson has been involved in SharePoint since attending the first public announcement of project “Tahoe” at the Microsoft Technical Briefing in January 1999. It has had a profound impact on his career, taking him to the doorstep of hundreds of companies, of all shapes and sizes, in a range of industries and in over 25 different countries. He’s worked on projects that create solutions, evaluate possibilities, deploy to tens of thousands of users and fix problems when the sirens are sounding. After 10 years at Microsoft, spent mostly in Microsoft Consulting Services, he co-founded zevenseas ( www.zevenseas.com ), a boutique consultancy focused solely on the SharePoint platform, and is having more fun than ever before.

Ryan Duguid

Our own honorary “international” kiwi . Ryan was instrumental in helping get the SharePoint user groups started in New Zealand and it’s great to have him here as the Keynote speaker introducing SharePoint 2010!

Ryan Duguid is a Senior Product Manager in the Office Business Platform Marketing Group at Microsoft Corporation in Redmond, WA. Ryan is responsible for SharePoint Enterprise Content Management. Ryan moved to Redmond from Microsoft New Zealand where he was a Technology Specialist responsible for evangelising the Microsoft 2007 Office system, assisting customers with deployment and adoption of Office system-based solutions and developing competency and confidence within the Microsoft partner ecosystem. Ryan has worked in the IT industry in New Zealand, the United States and the United Kingdom for over 14 years. He is passionate about understanding people, identifying their unique problems and helping them to realise their true potential through effective and innovative use of technology.

Paul Culmsee (Aka Mr Cleverworkarounds)

Paul Culmsee (MCSE, MCTS, CISSP, MCT) is a SharePoint consultant, facilitator and sensemaker with 21 years experience across a wide variety of IT disciplines. Paul’s SharePoint competencies lie in planning and deployment, solution envisioning, governance, training and user engagement. As a sense maker, Paul is one of only three Cognexus Certified Dialogue Mappers in the world and is uniquely skilled in dealing with complex (wicked) problems . Paul Swider

Paul Swider is a freelance consultant and MCT. In addition he is president of the Charleston SharePoint Users Group and a contributing author of the new Professional SharePoint 2010 Development book published by Wrox Press. Straight from a barrier Island near Charleston Paul chases the tides and winds as an avid boater and sailor. Paul is grateful he is able escape the summer heat in Charleston and consults with some of the most successful companies in the US. 17 years of software consulting experience combined with certifications and speaking credentials has made Paul an authority in the SharePoint Community.

Adam Cogan
