Yes! We are finally doing this. This will be the premier SharePoint Conference targeted specially towards a New Zealand audience. Currently we have tentatively set the dates to be 2nd and 3rd of July 2009.

Wow! What a great turn out! First of all I have to thank Gerard, Shane and co for organising the event which had a great turn out. Apologies for this late post but the last few days has been very hectic. And thanks for all the feedback. We will definitely try and get more sessions and speakers to visit Napier in the near future. Check out the New Zealand SharePoint user groups web site for updates. We are planning to do a nation wide user group Tour in April and we'll keep you updated on what will be part of the tour topics.

Been a while since I made a post about how our local SharePoint Community was shaping out. Over the last few years the community has grown from strength to strength. A testament to this is the new SharePoint User Group which will be inaugurated on February 12th 2009 in Napier, Hawkes Bay in the North Island. Now that's 4 SharePoint specific user groups alone in the North Island with Hawkes Bay joining the well established Wellington, Bay of Plenty and Auckland User Groups.
